We want to encourage participation from local staff in Texoma Gives, and this team is how we are doing it! Why do we want YOU to be involved? Because we know you care about kids and families and that you want to help them! We assume that the people you spend time with – family, friends, people in organizations you are involved in – probably care about kids and families and desire to help them too! So, where better could we look for potential supporters for this organization?
All you have to do is share about TFI and the campaign on social media… that’s it! If you sign-up to become part of the TFI team of “peer-to-peer fundraisers”, you can use the fundraiser template page we have already set up that tells about why people should support our organization, how their gift can help kids and families, and it contains an easy link to give so they can donate to us. How You Can Make a Difference
Your support of TFI helps provide for things not covered in our annual budget that assure that children in foster care are provided with opportunities, experiences, and activities similar to their peers who are not in foster care. Some examples include:
- Holiday Gifts
- School Supplies
- Bicycles and Sports Equipment
- Fees for Extracurricular Activities
- Prom Dresses and Tuxedos
- Dorm Supplies and Living Expenses for Young Adults (18-20) Aging Out of Foster Care
Your support also helps provide for the many expenses involved in maintaining the Blue Skies residential facility for children and youth suffering from abuse and trauma. Some examples include:
- Books for the Blue Skies Library
- Music Therapy for Kids at Blue Skies
- Building Fund for Future Gymnasium/Recreation Building for Kids at Blue Skies and Youth Aging Out of Foster Care
