Since January 2025, P.A.W.S. has been working with animal control in Seymour, Texas to reunite and find homes for dogs in the pound. Dogs have a 10 days before they are euthanized!! We have been 100% successful in saving these dogs since January —18 new adoptive forever homes since January!
An important part of saving these dogs is making sure that they are fully vaccinated and either sterilized while in the pound or sent with a voucher to be fixed! The vouchers to have the dogs fixed and vaccinated at PETS clinic in Wichita Falls are $85 -100 per dog depending on if male or female.
If vaccines are administered by the vet at the pound it currently costs $100 per visit. This is sometimes necessary because of the tight 10 day euthanasia window. Plus occasionally, a dog needs medical treatment and has covered those costs too.
$2000 would enable PAWS to help approximately 18 more dogs this year and not have to try and do on the spot fundraising for them!
