It's TEXHOMA GIVES TIME!!  Our Executive Director here at Rathgeber Hospitality House has challenged us to see who can raise more money for the "House".  As I began to think of the Rathgeber House it took me back to a blustery day in 2016 when my family found ourselves in crisis.  As most of you know, my husband was in an accident which began a long stretch in the ICU at United Regional Hospital.  Not knowing where to turn we found ourselves staying on floors and chairs in the ICU waiting room, waiting.  Just waiting.  Along came a group of our friends wanting to help by giving us accommodations at the Rathgeber Hospitality House which was about 3 minutes from ICU in the hospital.  What a God send! We were there for about 3 weeks. What an impact the ladies on staff at the House had on me.  After a few years, God allowed me to become a House Supervisor at Rathgeber.  What a blessing that has become for me. Now I can be the one to help others in cases like mine. And each family seems to have become my extended family. So I guess you see why Rathgeber Hospitality House has become my "non-profit" of choice.  So I am asking you to give to Rathgeber Hospitality House at TEXHOMA GIVES TIME.  Early giving has begun, going thru September 3rd.  Then comes the BIG Day of Giving which is on September 4th from 7 am to 7 pm.  By giving you can become a real difference in someone's life in crisis.

At Rathgeber Hospitality House, we are dedicated to caring for the caregivers—providing comfort, support, and a place of rest during some of life’s most difficult and stressful times. Opened in 2000, our 26-room, hotel-like facility offers subsidized housing and serves as a home away from home in a safe, secure, and affordable environment for families of hospitalized patients.

With more than 40% of inpatients coming from outside Wichita Falls, many families are unable to afford hotel accommodations and are left with few options—often resting in hospital lobbies without a place to sleep, shower, or recharge.

Rathgeber House fills this critical gap, easing the emotional and financial burden on families and allowing medical teams to focus on delivering the best possible care to their patients.

Please remember us when you think about giving in TEXHOMA'S GIVES
