"Time and action are the teachers.”. Dr Martin Luther King
We are not makers of history. We are made by history.
The Arts touch every life. Whether through music, dance, painting, poetry, or theater, they speak a universal language that transcends age, culture, and background. They invite us to imagine, to empathize, and to see the world through someone else’s eyes. Art connects communities, nurtures creativity, and inspires action. It reminds us of our shared humanity and has the power to heal, unite, and move people toward understanding and hope.
Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 2026 MLK Rhythm of Texoma Talent Showcase! Take a spiritual journey thru the 2026 MLK Gospel Music Festival. Stand together at the 2026 MLK Multicultural Parade to create a sense of pride and belonging, showcasing the talents, traditions, and spirit of the community.
These inspiring afternoon treats will spotlight singers, dancers, musicians, poets, and performers from across the region — all coming together to honor Dr. King’s dream of unity and inclusion.

2026 MLK Multi-Cultural Gospel Musical
Invitations to the community to come together in song. “Theme: Psalms 137:4-6, How Shall We Sing the Lord’s Song In A Strange Land”. The History of Gospel Celebration will be February 15, 2026 3pm at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
MLK 2026 Multi-Cultural Parade
The parade will feature floats, walkers, marching bands, cheer teams, and community organizations — including participation from local high schools, Midwestern State University, and groups from surrounding communities.
Because high school and university bands are often out of the area in January, this year’s parade will be February 21, 2026 when WFISD combined bands will be present along with Midwestern State University band and cheer teams and the Burkburnett High School Band, ensuring the greatest level of participation and energy for this exciting event. You're invited to include your float, walk with other organizations, most importantly cheer us on to continued progress toward the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Proposed time 1:00 PM, Downtown Wichita Falls.
In preparation for this exciting event, your leadership and support are invaluable in making it a success. Our goal is to raise $1000.
All donations will be used to support the Multicultural Festivities and ongoing projects thru the East Project Networking Committee.
