The Heart Gallery of Northwest Texas has rejuvenated this initiative to find and feature the light in each young person available for adoption from state conservatorship, in an effort to match them to a forever family. Though the efforts of case managers, CASA, and adoption workers youth are referred to the Heart Gallery. We coordinate with volunteers to prepare the youth for a professional photo shoot to capture the spirit of each youth in the best way possible. Since this day can be difficult for the youth as there can be sadness over the past and fear of the future. To help bring out the best in them we treat them to items, services, and activities that not only boost their self-confidence but to ease their emotions. We maintain the gallery on our website and feature physical and digital galleries across the area. We are working to spread awareness for youth in conservatorship and their needs to reduce the number of our youth that age out of foster care before they get adopted. 

Who We Are -

We are a program of TFI jump started through a grant initiated by the Texas Governor’s Commission for Women in partnership with the Heart Galleries of Texas. We cover the counties in the DFPS Region 2 and feature youth whose cases originated in this area. We are working with our local partners and champions to build the funding needed to sustain this critical mission.

Your help is needed to continue to provide the personal services such as haircuts & styles, fun activities, and beloved items the youth need for photo shoots. 

Your donation also enables us to purchase quality prints to feature the beautiful and hopeful smiles of each youth to share with the community. 

Ultimately you can enable staff to remain connected to the youth, community partners, and other Heart Galleries across Texas while maintaining skills as recommended by the Heart Galleries of Texas.
