Standing Together On Meth Prevention (STOMP)

A nonprofit organization

Linda Green-Bennett, the founder of Jack County STOMP, is the surviving spouse of Oklahoma Highway Patrolman Nik Green, who was killed on December 26, 2003 by a man manufacturing meth on a rural county road in the Randlett/Devol area just across the Red River.

Linda, a former public educator, transitioned into a public speaker and drug/alcohol abuse education advocate.  Linda remarried in 2005 and relocated to Jack County, but continued her mission.

Living in Jacksboro and raising her children there, she envisioned a local organization that could help bring awareness of the dangers of the use/abuse of illegal drugs, namely methamphetamine, to the three communities and school districts of Jack County.

In the fall of 2014, Linda led a town hall meeting receiving many local volunteers. A 15-member board quickly formed, and the development of STOMP (Standing Together On Meth Prevention) began. Jack County STOMP achieved 501©3 status October 1st, 2015.

OUR MISSION:

We strive to educate the communities of Jack County and create a greater awareness of the dangers of methamphetamine use, crime awareness and prevention, develop student leadership, and stimulate positive life choices.
