United Regional Foundation

A nonprofit organization

United Regional's COMMUNITY CARE FUND mostly serves patients who have been recently discharged from the hospital or Emergency Department and have ongoing medical needs yet they are struggling to afford basic necessities. Many of these patients are referred to United Regional's Transition Clinic (who accepts new adult patients, including those between ages 21-64), where professionals work to match their needs with appropriate resources. In 2023, the Clinic served over 3,000 individuals, many who received help from the COMMUNITY CARE FUND.

The COMMUNITY CARE FUND is a "bridge to improved health," while caring, compassionate staff work to move them to longer term health solutions. Immediate needs - such as medications, diabetic supplies, oxygen, transportation to medical appointments, food, medical equipment, access to specialty care, and more - are met by this vital fund. The COMMUNITY CARE FUND opens the door to a healthier future. Very often, patients have no other option for medical care.

Federal regulations prohibit the use of hospital funds for the provision of these supplies and services to Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare patients. Donations to this fund helps ensure the delivery of supplies and services to ALL patients in need.

YOUR GIFT WILL HELP LOCAL PEOPLE IN TRUE NEED!  Every dollar will help us "bridge" another person to improved health and provide hope for a healthier tomorrow. We'd be humbled and grateful to have your support!

Who We Are

Good health is the beginning of so much that is important in life – family, career, leisure, and learning. Without it, goals are hard to achieve. That’s why the United Regional Foundation is passionate about supporting excellence in healthcare, both inside United Regional Health Care System and out into the community.

Since 1988, the Foundation has supported United Regional with equipment, technologies, capital projects, and more. For over 30 years, we have partnered with Children’s Miracle Network to serve our pediatric patients.

More recently we expanded our efforts to address significant community health needs. Dedicated staff at United Regional are working hard to provide solutions that include INTERVENTION and PREVENTION. We help get some of the most vulnerable in our community "on track" to improved wellness through the Community Care Fund. This fund provides medications, diabetic supplies, rides to doctors appointments, food, tooth extractions, etc. to provide relief while forming long-term solutions for the individual.

For ALL we do, United Regional receives NO city or county taxes to offset uncompensated or charity care. We rely solely on donations and operational income to reinvest in, and continually elevate, our people, technology and facilities. Your support will truly help us transform lives!
