Friends of the Burkburnett Library

Mission Statement

The Friends of the Burkburnett Library is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that works to promote and improve the library facilities, materials, and services for the Burkburnett community. We support the library financially beyond their public budget allowance, as well as provide volunteer services to help strengthen the library's programs and to encourage the broadest possible use of its facilities, materials, and outreach for our community.    

What We Do

2026 - A Look Ahead
What started back in 1966 by a group of community-minded citizens to gift Burkburnett with a library has seen both the town and the library grow into a booming partnership! The new year brings new visions, new projects, and new partnerships for us here at the Friends of the Burkburnett Library. We look forward to our 60th anniversary, our Diamond Jubilee, as a local non-profit organization whose mission remains to service the citizens of our community and the library. Here’s to the next 60 years!

Spring 2026 Book Sale

We will be holding our 2026 Spring Book Sale from Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28, at the Senior Citizens Center here in Burkburnett. To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we will also be having a “Mystery Diamond Door” raffle! Volunteers are needed to assist during the setup to sort books by genres and authors. Wednesday, March 25, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, is the actual big sorting day to get books out on the tables and ready for opening day. Join us!
