This year, Backdoor Theatre is raising funds for our 2026 Summer Youth Musical (SYM) - Legally Blonde: The Musical!

When Backdoor Theatre was gifted our building, it came with the promise that we would always be the home of the Summer Youth Musical - and we’ve kept that promise for nearly 50 years! 

In fact, 2026 will mark our 50th year in the ice house and our 50th year as SYM’s proud home. Each summer, local 6th - 12th graders step onto our stage, learn the magic of theatre, and carry those lessons back into Wichita Falls and beyond!
