OUR MISSION
Our mission at Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area (CISGWFA) is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We empower young people to set and meet goals, provide parent engagement and support, and help every child realize their full potential.
OUR UNIQUE MODEL
Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area works in collaboration with school personnel to develop and provide a comprehensive Integrated Student Support (ISS) program uniquely tailored to address unmet academic and non‐academic barriers to student success.
In partnership with community providers, professional CIS staff provide and coordinate a range of intentionally targeted services that are provided to all students on campus and to a smaller cohort of “case‐managed” students to ensure all students consistently come to school ready to learn and remain on the path to graduation.
TEXOMA GIVES CAMPAIGN GOAL
Our goal this year is to raise funding to continue supporting our alumni program. The mission of CISGWFA Alumni Network is to continue surrounding students with a community of support, empower them to achieve in life, and promote servant leadership in the community. Your donations will help to provide financial assistance to cover the books fees, gas or transportation vouchers to get to school as well as help in the purchase of a laptop or chrome book. In relation to giving back to the community, your donation could assist to send an alumni to a CIS National Conference to gain leadership training to take on leadership roles in the community.
CISGWFA has been providing personalized student management services to students in WFISD for the past 17 years. In addition to WFISD, we serve City View Elementary, and Henrietta Elementary.
CISGWFA staff connects students and families with academic and community resources to ensure student success in academic promotion, graduation, and life readiness.
Our services include basic needs support, career exploration, college readiness and academic support, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, field trips, individual and group supports, mentoring, and more!
