At United Regional, we deliver over 1,800 babies a year. We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start in life. That's why we're transforming our nursery into a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - a significant step forward in our commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care close to home. This expansion is more than bricks and mortar - it's about keeping families together during some of their most vulnerable moments, rather than having to travel to larger cities for care.

This addition will allow 40-50 more families each year to remain in Wichita Falls, meaning less stress and expenses, and more time to bond with newborns. The new Level III NICU will increase nursery space from 3,000 to 6,000 square feet. It will feature 8 private rooms, 6 bays, and a renovated full-term nursery.  Specialized jet and high-frequency oscillating ventilators will support infants weighing 1-2 pounds and the most critically ill. Each NICU Giraffe bed will have an Angel Eye Camera System, enabling families to view their newborns in real-time and stay close when then they can't be at the bedside. Neonatologists will be available 24/7.

Construction will begin on this project this fall, and be complete in 2027.  It will be the only NICU in a 100 mile radius of Wichita Falls! All donations to CMN during Texoma gives will go to the NICU project. Please help us save and change lives of our tiniest patients!
